Senior Independent Consultant Opportunity
To achieve greater efficiencies across the group, they are looking to implement a new HR Information System across the UK HR (People) team (European businesses/HR are out of scope currently for this project). To support the success of this complex change project, they are seeking to appoint a highly experienced change and transformation specialist to operate at Board level to influence and guide the success of the project through the UK HR team. The project would be lead and manged by UK HR with an appointed Interim HRIS project specialist (manager) reporting into the UKHRD and a dotted line into UKIT.
As part of its newly agreed 2030 Strategy the Group has set a goal to become a ‘Great Place to Work for All’. In pursuance of this the HR function is evolving into a proactive, value add people model. It is recognised that the current HR system is not capable of supporting this transition. Higher quality data is required for G’s to make more informed people decisions and a ‘self-service’ style model will empower colleagues across the UK part of the Group to deliver and be more accountable for their own people management.
The Role
This is a part-time advisory role, working closely with Louise Zirpolo, UK HR Director, who is leading the project. It is expected that the role will require 1-2 days per month, supporting Louise to gain buy-in/support from the project senior steering group who all lead their own businesses across the Group and pay for the UK HR/central services.
Remit will include
- Ensuring that there is a clear shared understanding of the scope of the project and engagement and buy in from the project senior steering group who share a clear understanding of the basic requirements and business benefits of the system.
- Support the UK HRD to successfully implement the project and overall change programme, with a proposed completion date of October 2024.
- Support the UK HRD to successfully deliver the programme to time and budget, ensuring the SGMB are united behind the purpose and benefits of the new system, and the associated cultural changes to the core operating model.
- Chair the programme board meetings with the senior steering group and lead the overall strategic discussions to help steer the project.
- Provide support and strategic advice to the UK HRD and Interim Project Manager, being a sounding Board and an enabler to successfully influence the change required.
- Be a conscientious and constructive challenger to the programme and all it’s stakeholders.
- Represent the internal business customers through the senior project steering group for the new system, ensuring that a benefits realisation plan is developed through the project team identifying quantitative and qualitative business benefits at project inception. Ensure that a Benefits realisation review is conducted to establish the extent to which those benefits are realised for the users / investors.
